NGC 6946-6992

NGC 6946, C12. GX, Cyg. F/3.3, 15 s, gain 10. Asymmetrical spiral. Brightest arm longest, passes by a bright star. Inside it is a shorter, wider arm. Third arm is on the same side of the small bright core, shortest. It is involved in a lens-shaped inner halo.

NGC 6960, Western Veil, C34. SNR, Cyg. 24 mm with OIII: a broad sharp-edged tail of the bright star in the field (52 Cyg). F/3.3, OIII, 15 s, high gain. Complex structure with tendrils passing through and by a bright star. Very large. On one side of the star, a narrow streamer extends through a fainter star some 10' away. In the opposite direction, the complex jumble gradually condenses into two streamers that run parallel to more than 20'.

NGC 6981, M72. GC, Aqr. 24 mm: very faint, small, round, gradually brighter to the middle, edges diffuse. F/3.3, 8 s, gain 10. Small granular object surrounded by stars. Irregular. Brighter clumps in the middle.

NGC 6992, Eastern Veil, C33. SNR, Cyg. F/3.3, OIII, 15 s, high gain. A complex structure, 5x10', involving two bright parts with sharp edges (one of them the Beer Opener) on some nebulous background. From it, a wide and a narrow streamer stretch across some 10', continuing as a single, narrower streamer for another 15'.
